Forum Title: Hairline crack in front entry door
I noticed that our front entry door has a small hairline crack on one of the outside panes (the door is designed so that it appears to have 4 separate glass panes about 5' high x 6 wide on the door) that is roughly 3/4 in length. You can barely feel it with your fingernail, so it is not deep, but I was wondering what the best way to deal with the crack is...btw, I would rather not replace the door if possible. It was a special order due to a the design of the door's entranceway being wider than the standard entranceway, and besides that slight crack, there is nothing structurally wrong with the door. There is also no way to extract the pane from the door itself, from what I can tell. Any advice would be appreciated.

Andy, you gotta be kiddin'. $2000 for a barn door rail and rollers???? You could take a picture of this to a good metal worker and he could fabricate it in short order with a lot less cost. Good idea, though, I like the look.

If it's the wood frame and not the glass - it could be caulked. A pic would help clarify the problem http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-pictures.html
